Employment Law Bulletin – Expansion of new Government Job Support Scheme for Closed Businesses

Employment Law Bulletin – Last Friday, 9th October, the Chancellor announced that the Job Support Scheme (JSS), which will replace the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme from 1 November, will be expanded to help protect jobs and support businesses required to close as a result of coronavirus restrictions.

Further guidance will be issued in due course, but in the meantime, read on for the key facts.
